Christopher grew up around family farming, and the rich culinary traditions of south Louisiana. As a child, he watched his Creole grandparents produce seasonal produce, and wildcraft native medicinal plants. As a teenager, he moved to Napa Valley, California, and attended St. Helena High. While in Napa, Christopher gained hands-on experience as an organic gardener, viticulturist, and estate horticulturist in the region’s renowned wine country. He earned a degree in Horticulture and Sustainable Agriculture from the University of The West Indies. Christopher's career has spanned diverse environments, from managing organic farms, coffee estates, to working with rural producers in the Caribbean, and Hawaii. Over the past 25 years he has consulted and managed eco-resorts, hotels, private estates, botanical collections, orchards, and various agricultural projects.
In 2019 Christopher was contracted to redesign and manage operations for one of Louisiana's largest certified organic farms, overseeing year-round market production of over 50 specialty crops for farmers markets, and food security programs. He is currently based in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he manages a Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development initiative, conducting research that directly benefits regional farmers. He actively collaborates with governments, universities, nonprofits, and private landowners, sharing practical insights, and empowering communities to build resilient, clean food systems.
A lifelong advocate for healthy food access, food security, community health, and wellness. Christopher is passionate about building healthy food production systems that heal and nurture humanity. The foundation of his work is the love, and goodness of the Creator's many blessings. He is committed to responsible land management, ecological integrity, and generational Earth stewardship.
